2021 was a year of change, new beginnings, and a new life.  We moved twice, bought our dream home, had our dream wedding and honeymoon, and celebrated our first Xmas here in San Diego. 

Jan – We packed up our life in SF, put everything in storage, and said goodbye to the Bay Area one last time. We enjoyed a weekend in Monterey visiting the zoo and waterfront on the drive to SoCal. 

Feb – We stayed with my family and spent some much-needed time de-stressing. We started the housing search without really expecting anything to come to fruition anytime soon given the crazy market. After one week, 5 offers, and one nervous night after another we had our first and favorite offer accepted. 

March – On March 2nd we officially went into Escrow on the home of our dreams. 

April – The first week of April was no joke! We got the keys to our new BMW on the 1st and after the longest month of our lives, we received the keys to our new home on the 2nd. 

May –  After a few weeks in our new home, we made the decision to get married on our property. We spent the rest of the month settling into our new house and starting a home project spreadsheet outlining all the things that needed to get done before the wedding. We managed to squeeze some time to get to know a few of our new neighbors and even started to make new friends.

June – Our friends and family threw the most Pinterest-worthy bridal shower ever for me. I love that we were able to incorporate elements from the property such as eucalyptus, oranges, and other greenery as part of the decor. 

July – Sept  Josh and I tackled the spreadsheet of tasks in order to get the property wedding ready! This included a month of construction to build a grand staircase for my grand entrance.  

Oct –  It’s wedding time! We hosted our dream wedding on our property. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful or perfect wedding. 

Nov – We spent a month in Thailand on our dream honeymoon visiting Phuket, Krabi, and Railey Beach. 

Dec – Harvesting pomegranates and enjoying the holidays. We were ready for some rest after the action-packed year!
